Beth Stephens
ARTIST
Beth Stephens has been creating for as long as she can remember. “I guess it all began when my mother first introduced me to her stash of craft goodies.” Some of her most cherished and vivid memories were days crafting at Sunday school and the annual church crafting fair, creating anything from dolls to painting pretty little flowers on paper. Beth has accomplished many goals since those early days of childhood.
Beth now paints from her studio in Dover-Foxcroft, Maine. She is a prolific artist and paints anything from juvenile snowmen to sophisticated flowers to country themes. She often paints with acrylic and watercolor, however, she likes experimenting with new mediums and new subject matter to continually update and diversify her portfolio. “It sometimes can be challenging, but very important to adapt new subject matter and my creativity of ‘today’ with what is relevant to the trends and market demands of ‘tomorrow’”.
Ms. Stephens’ artwork has appeared on hundreds of products, such as stationery, dinnerware, photo albums, gift bags, and many more kinds of items. One license is her “Dahlia and Butterfly” watercolor which was featured on the Society of Decorative Artists’ annual membership card.
Another was her art was licensed for dinnerware and was featured on Tableware Today. In addition to licensing, she is often asked to instruct art seminars regionally. Another major accomplishment is the publication of her book, Country, Serene & Simple, designed and authored by her.
She graduated, Magna Cum Laude, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Illustration as well as a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.
